Studio session 3 - guitars and more...

Guitar recordings at Cat Piss Studio are done. The equipment that we used for it is different than before. The sound will be damn lot better and the record a lot heavier. The session itself was relaxed. We took a break when we felt like it and ate food bought from the local shop's discount shelves. When the atmosphere at the studio is good and it smells a bit like shit, playing is at its easiest!

Status Minor - Ouroboros - Drum Session 2/2

I played drums for our second album a few weeks back at Studio Audio. The whole album was recorded in ten hours, and the session was amazing! Thanks goes to great recording engineer, Torsti Spoof and my fellow drunken band mates, who made me feel like home in studio :)

Eero:
Our mission was to record all the bass and drums in two days. After the drums were done by Rolf Pilve we started the with the bass. At the first day we did four songs and on the second five more. The Bass tracks were done at night with Jukka behind the desk working with Pro Tools. Overall the session went quite painless allthough some parts were proven quite tricky. Hardest part was playing the low A string clearly with tight precision because the tuning is so low and the rhytms wild as hell, so I arranged some bass parts different to get a punchier sound and some new ideas came right on the spot . Bass was recorded with a straight line sound through Little Labs Di box
and some high quality preamps. The bass that I used was Ibanez 5 string with active electronics. The idea was to get a good line sound, and with that the final bass sound will be done with added plugins and effects mostly combination of distortion and clear sounds.
It was truly a succesfull session and now well wait the rest of the stuff being recorded. Be sure to expect a killer record!

Status Minor enters the Studio Audio in Jyväskylä, Finland on 16th of February to begin recording the sequel to their acclaimed debut "Dialog" which was released in 2009. The man behind the sound will be Torsti Spoof. The still untitled second album's release date is set for September 2010 right after which the band will embark on the Metallia Perkele 2010 tour to promote their new masterpiece all over the Europe. Stay tuned to the studio diary on the website to know what's going on!

Status Minor suuntaa Jyväskylän Studio Audiolle 16. helmikuuta äänittämään jatkoa kehutulle syyskuussa 2009 julkaistulle "Dialog"-debyyttialbumilleen. Studiovelhona häärii Torsti Spoof. Vielä nimeämättömän toisen levyn julkaisuajankohta on syyskuu 2010, jonka jälkeen bändi suuntaa Metallia Perkele 2010 -kiertueelle tekemään musiikkiaan tunnetuksi ympäri Eurooppaa.
